Yukon South Beringia Fair| Feb19| Whitehorse

Join us at the Beringian Fair in Whitehorse on Monday February 19th from 6 - 8:30 pm to learn about the threats to Yukon South Beringia’s unique biodiversity, threats wildlife are currently facing such as climate change, as well as the research and steps being taken to protect Beringian wildlife.

Topics include: Growing up in Beringia, Beringian Wetlands, Plants, Wolverines, Climate Change  Refugia, Placer Mine Revegetation and Songbirds, the scoop on Nun Cho Ga (“Big baby animal” in Han/ baby mammoth discovery), Beaver Creek Bioblitz 2022 video and how-to get the most out of i-Naturalist!

Speakers include: CAFN Elder Ron Chambers, Ducks Unlimited, Wildlife Conservation Society, Yukon Government, Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in First Nation, Yukon University, Canadian Forestry Services and Yukon Conservation Society

Finger foods and drinks will be provided. Also take the chance to explore the new Beringia Interpretive Centre! See you there.
